Abstract
In the article the difficulties of the oldest Old Russian manuscripts’ dating are discussed and some linguistic features of the Old Russian problematically dated manuscript of the Apostle created by two scribes are analyzed. The investigation of its significant orthographic and phonetic data shows that the two writings of the manuscript belong to the different times. The second writing of the Sof. 32 along with the archaic paleographic features is characterized by the absence of the innovative language forms and can be dated by the first part of 12th century. The first writing of the manuscript demonstrates the reflexes of a completed jer-shift which took place in Old Russian in the middle of 12th century.
