- Abstract
- This article deals with the temporal structure of Günter Grass’s autobiography “Beim Häuten der Zwiebel”. The author’s meta-narrative remarks play an important role in the expression of time correlations. Time metaphors used by G.Grass as leitmotifs as well as stylistic devices of retrospection are analysed. Exegetic remarks represent not only a method of creating a time perspective in the autobiography but are also the expression of cultural and axiological aspects of the author’s work as a whole.
