Abstract
The article engages itself with Valery Bryusov''s, Yekaterina and Konstantin Balmont''s work at the Pushkin poetic dictionary. It is argued that the two poets had arrived at the very idea of such a dictionary earlier than the famous article by A.I. Urusov came out. The approach to delimitation of contexts and to text excerption was elaborated by the project participants under direction of A.A. Shakhmatov. It is demonstrated that the work in question came to a halt largely because the definitive edition of Pushkin''s works was lacking; as for the main project outcome, it was V.Ya. Bryusov''s article "What Does The Academic Edition of Pushkin''s Work Offer?"
