Abstract
The article offers a methodology for the study of literary dreams by taking into account the following seven aspects: philological, linguistic, phenomenological, psychological, symbolic, mythopoetic, and mystical. The study of dreams, which are contained in Vyacheslav Ivanov's Tale of Prince Svetomir, reveals the diversity of their textual functions, as well as mythopoetic, symbolic, and mystical aspects of literary dreams.
