- Abstract
- The article offers an analysis of motive and conceptual structure of Lermontov's drafted text 'On a Burka...'. In effect, this analysis allows us to make general suggestions about the author's intention to finish up this fragment. The key emphasis here is on the polar structure of the Lermontov's poetic world. We argue that a set of basic oppositions might be seen as a plot in a contracted form. Its development would supposedly realize the contradictions, which are present in the draft as potential possibilities.
