- Abstract
- The article is concerned with the colour component of Georg Trakl's imagery in his poetic collection "Dreaming Sebastian" (1915), as well as with the interaction of colour designations used by the poet and his entire poetics, in general. Transformations of these designations in the course of the poet's work on the texts in the collection are highlighted. It is shown that "fluctuations" of colour present in Trakl's rough copies are due to his search for a new poetic idiom which, for instance, manifested itself in the use of archaic forms of imagery by the poet.
