- Abstract
- The lectures “Poetic Forms of Modern Sensibility” and “On the Aesthetic Criterion” introduce us to the speechmaking activity of Innokenty Annensky, a man of various talent. Not only was he a poet, translator and literary critic but an outstanding orator as well. These lectures are the literary testament of Innokenty Annensky who declared his aesthetic program in 1909. This publication expands our vision of a most strenuous moment in the 20th century literary process due to the crisis of Symbolism.
