- Abstract
- The article analyzes the specific relationship between the plot and space in Lermontov's 'Bela' and the principles of their interaction. The author argues that Romantic and Oriental/colonial plot schemes are not all-inclusive for Lermontov's story. In this regard, we study the role of space in the plot organization, which allows us to read - in a new way - the dramatic story of relations among Lermontov's characters belonging to different worlds.
