- Having critically analysed traditional interpretations of Olga Il’inskaya’s sorrow/grief that the heroine of “Oblomov” suffers when she seems to be on top of the world in her marriage to Andrey Shtolts the author of the article comes up with a new interpretation of this episode of the famous novel by Goncharov which is of a great importance to it.
