- Abstract
- The paper presents various viewpoints on term variants, term synonyms and correlations between them. It is proposed to interpret term variability more widely than it is generally accepted and to take categorial forms of conceivably the same term as its variants. Definitions of the concepts ‘synonymous terms', ‘doublet terms', ‘equivalent terms' and ‘variant terms' are given and relationships between them are analyzed.
