- Abstract
- The author of the article traces back the history of treatment of one of the serious scientific subjects of Russian literary studies, “Gogol and Rabelais”. M.M. Bakhtin's statement of this problem stimulated scientific interests and offered opportunities of comparative approach. The article covers the history of the plot, which allows to see the reflection of the common patterns of Russian literary studies of 1940-80s.
