Abstract
This is a short account of S.T. Coleridge's stay in Malta and a commentary to the letter by Lord Nelson of November 15, 1804. The autograph was taken to England by Coleridge, and today it is part of the Jerwood Centre Collections (the Wordsworth Trust). The letter mentions the Russian vessel, which in November 1804 was cruising close to the Balearic Islands. Now it is possible to identify the ship: it was polacre "Expedicion" under command of Peter M. Elizarov.
