Abstract

: The article analyzes the transformations in the approach of the American administration to building foreign trade relations with foreign partners in the context of the general political and economic strategy of the democratic administration of J. Biden. The doctrinal foundations laid by the 46th President of the United States as the basis of the foreign trade course of the administration headed by him are consistently considered in the general context of the actions taken by official Washington in the field of trade cooperation both with the strategic allies of the United States - the EU, Canada, Japan, and in a wider sense with China and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in general. A comprehensive critical analysis of the declared and actually occurring transformations in the foreign trade policy of J. Biden makes it possible to give an objective assessment of the changes that are taking place in the processes of building trade relations with foreign countries by the White House, to reveal the evolution of such a foreign economic course in comparison with the activities in this direction of the previous republican D. Trump administration. A forecast of the development of forms and methods of trade policy of the democratic administration in the short and medium term of the electoral cycle of the presidency of J. Biden to foreign trade as part of the foreign policy and foreign economic activity of the United States in the interests primarily of restoring the economy and social stability of the United States. With regard to the stated research topic, the essence of the political and economic course "Build Back Better" declared by J. Biden and its consequences for the trade and economic partners of the United States in the world is revealed. The contradictions are revealed, caused by the actions of the democratic administration on the implementation of the strategy "Build Back Better" and "Buy American" and declared by J. Biden's adherence to the principles of multilateralism in relations with foreign states.
