Abstract
The author analyzes the US policy of inclusion of Yugoslavia in Western defensive system, characterizes the dynamics of Yugoslav course of Democratic and Republican administrations of Presidents H. Truman and D. Eisenhower, identifies the factors that influenced the process of preparation and content of the Balkan Pact.
