- Abstract
- The stockings are considered rather as as a social and cultural marker of a certain epoch, lifestyle, social norms and customs than an article of clothing. Specially focus is made on the in detail, including the example of painting, on cultural connotations of black women's stockings at any given time in a given socio-cultural situation. The examples of the paintings are considered. The practice of demonstration of this accessory in advertizing is analyzed.
