Abstract
The article discusses the contribution made by the aspect dictionary “Capital or small letter?”to the orthographic description of onomastics. Different types of lexicographic units - mono- and polysemantic, one-word and more-than-one-word units - are examined. The linguistic concept of a proper name and its effect on spelling is touched upon. Different types of dictionary entries and complexes are cited to provide the reader with a tool for distinguishing orthographic oppositions.
