Abstract
The article considers types of pragmatic information essential for the lexicographic description of colloquial words. Four types of such information have been distinguished, and each type is illustrated by examples from the “Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Everyday Speech”. In the concluding part of the article it is argued that the failure to comply to pragmatic conditions for word use results in utterances that, though they do not violate the language norm, are pragmatically anomalous.
