Abstract

The Prayer of St. Gregory and the Prayer of Confession of Sins from the Yaroslavl Prayerbook give evidence of an existence of intensive Czech-Russian culture contacts in the 11th century. The author of the article recently published Latin originals of the prayers - Oratio sancti Gregorii (papae) and Confessio (sancti Patricii). A detailed analysis shows that the prayers were translated from Latin in the West Slavic area (in Bohemia in the 11th century).
