- Abstract
- It is shown that the draft "I am in Tiflis..." demonstrates characteristics inherent in an integral literary text. Some features of this text that appear to be in the nature of the unfinished draft (first of all, incomplete or missing names) represent, in fact, an intentional artistic device the meaning of which can be understood as an integral part of the artistic system of the work of art as a whole. Its well-balanced motif structure is demonstrated. That allows to determine the place of this text in Lermontov's poetic.
