- Variability of norms is а natural property of a standard language. Variants of a lexical unit are registered by normative dictionaries. This report contains a classifi cation of phonetic and accent variants of the contemporary Russian standard language. These variants differ in semantic, stylistic, professional, social and local characteristics.
