- The article deals with the universal images in the second volume of the Dead Souls.In this regard, we study the semantics and function of such concepts as ''the path'', ''the spiritual tutoring'', and ''the other world''. Particular attention is paid to critical juxtaposing of the second volume of poems and the "Meditations on the Divine Liturgy".
