- Abstract
- In the article the novel by V. Nabokov is interpreted as a modernist work. Moreover, the problem of biography becomes not only the problem of genre, but a cognitive, ontological and hermeneutic-phenomenological one as well. How can one know an other person? In which way a biographer can penetrate into the life of an artist? Which aspects of the artistic life must be examined in the biography? It is this point of view, from which the system of images and the artistic structure of Nabokov' s novel are considered.
