- Abstract
- The article deals with the problem of renovation of contemporary Russian explanatory dictionaries. The author considers it necessary to make certain changes and additions to, for instance, the "Concise Academic Explanatory Dictionary" (four volumes) in respect of (1) its vocabulary (index of words), (2) interpretations of many lexical meanings, (3) stylistic markers, (4) text illustrations.
