- Abstract
- Canada has formed an effective system of scientific support for agricultural production. This system takes into account the mutual interests of government, agricultural producers and various investors. The article details the current infrastructure of agricultural research, the dissemination of new knowledge at the federal and provincial levels. The author examines the main sources of research funding. Special attention is paid to the organization of research in the context of agricultural policy in Canada. Effectiveness of research has been evaluated on the basis of science-metric indicators.
