- Abstract
- In the article the author explains, that despite absence of political and ideological freedom within the USSR, existence of powerful censorship, researchers of the Institute for the U.S. and Canadian Studies managed to investigate and to understand a number of important features of American national self-consciousness, including black and white perception of external world, and American leading mass media at that point in time. Today these features are influencing as negative the U.S. foreign policy at large degree after completing cold war and rising multipolar world order.
